i got a tattoo. time to get 40 more.

kidding! kidding.

maybe.

i do want a sleeve on my right arm, but that might be it...

it took me years to actually decide if i was ever even going to get any tattoos, because it's a bit of commitment. little bit.

the ugly green-blue color that normal black tattoo ink turns after a bit was always a turn off, but apparently not big enough of one. also the fact that i can never take a tattoo off, to wash it, to change them out if it doesn't match my outfit, it was a lot of pressure guys.

but i have settled on getting tattoos only that have some kind of meaning to me and that i have always loved my whole life (so that way it's a good track record indicating that i might not start hating them in the future)

so thursday i got a bow. so #coquette of me !!!

i was a bit hesitant because they are trending a lot right now but i really believe this trend is a bit different than normal fashion trends because it really does help bring our girlhood back and represent femininity in a very classy way.

the tattoo artist asked, "so, why bows?"

and my answer was very similar to what i just wrote above. girlhood. sisterhood. lost childhood. innocence. pink girl cutesie slay queen cunt girlboss. you know.

i want to always remember and honor the little girl that is still inside of me, the one who didn't have a care in the world and was always in awe and wonder at the world she lived in. everything was magic to her. everything was possible. this is the next best thing to giving my younger self a big hug and telling her that everything's not so scary as it always felt and that we are still here, doing the things she always wanted to.

enough sap, here's the other tattoos i want.

-the moon

anyone who knows me immediately gets this. anyone who doesn't, i'm going to write a post about it eventually. because i really do want to process and understand my own reasons as to why the moon just touches my heart as much as it does.

i don't know what design i'm wanting exactly, but i'm definitely getting one someday.

next!

-a lightning bug

this one is a more recent thought. lightning bugs lit up my childhood summers and were the best part of the early evening growing up. and even now. they are magical. did you know that lightning bug booty lights emit no heat whatsoever? anyways i think it will be another good ode to my childhood, and they also represent hope and change, a light in the darkness.

-dandelions

ah, my favorite flower. summers running around fields collecting 30 yellow dandelions to make myself and my friends flower crowns. feeling like a princess. wearing pretty dresses and having a picnic.

dandelions are also so amazing to me because of their medicinal properties. they can help digestion, immunity, detoxifying the liver and gallbladder, improving kidney function, they are potent in antioxidants and have anti-inflammatory properties, they balances blood sugar, promotes strong bones, their uses are endless. clearly i could go on...

yet people treat them as common weeds. i really don't get it. i never have. even as a kid, i didn't know all the benefits of them, yet i still marveled at them.

the life cycle of a dandelion is so poetic too. the entire universe is encapsulated in the life cycle of the dandelion. the earth, sun, moon, and stars are all represented.

that is all that i have confidently decided are going on my body permanently so far! hopefully i can schedule another appointment soon.

i hope everyone is having a great week! I love you so much <3
